About me

From ZX Spectrum to Today: A Life Powered by Pixels
Hi, I’m Ricardo Perdigao e Silva.
Typed my first 10 PRINT "HELLO"
on a ZX Spectrum 48K+ in 1988 — and I’ve been chasing pixels ever since.
Discovered MAME in 1997… it was like finding the DeLorean of gaming.
Retro gamer, tech whisperer, and proud collector of “they don’t make ‘em like this anymore.”
By day: Information Systems and Computer Engineer. By night: digital archaeologist and code wizard.
Also a teacher — spreading the gospel of Python, bitmaps, and bytes.
Want the serious stuff? Check out my formal bio on LinkedIn.
🕹️ My passion for classic arcade cabinets, emulation, and DIY retro gaming setups led to the creation of this website. Whether it’s building a Raspberry Pi-powered arcade, preserving vintage software, or sharing step-by-step tutorials, I’m here to keep retro gaming alive — pixel by pixel.
💾 You’ll find free downloads, arcade cabinet plans, tutorials, and guides for configuring emulators, controllers, and more — all crafted for retro gaming fans and makers.
🛠️ This site also covers hardware hacks, software tips, and technology tricks for tinkerers, hobbyists, and tech-savvy learners of all ages.
⚡ I occasionally review tech gear, showcase useful gadgets, and include affiliate links to products I actually use. If you enjoy this content, supporting it through those links or a donation helps keep the site running.
